The Philadelphia 76ers (38-23) seek a fifth straight win when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers (36-26) Friday. Tip-off from Wells Fargo Center will be at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Cavaliers vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.
The Cavaliers have dropped their last two games, and five of their last six, slipping to sixth in the East after a rough stretch. They lost 119-98 as 4-point favorites over the Charlotte Hornets Wednesday. They also lost 127-122 to the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday as 3.5-point underdogs, and have now failed to cover the spread in their last six games.
The Sixers have looked great since the arrival of G James Harden. They’ve gone 3-0 with him on the floor with an average margin of victory of 20.7 points. They’ve won each of his three starts by at least 15 points, beating the New York Knicks twice (125-109 Sunday and 123-108 Wednesday), and blowing out the Timberwolves 133-102 points in his Sixers debut last Friday.

Cavaliers at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions
76ers 117, Cavaliers 108
It’s really hard not to like the 76ers right now, not just because of the way Harden is playing, but also because of PG Tyrese Maxey‘s breakout and the play of MVP favorite C Joel Embiid.
As favorable as this matchup is for Philadelphia, I’m going to PASS on the money line because you’d need to bet $340 just to make $100. Not enough reward for the risk.

The Sixers beat the Cavaliers by 10 points Feb. 12 without Harden and it’s reasonable to think the winning margin will be similar, if not larger, now that they’re at full strength. Philadelphia still needs to be tested after crushing the Knicks and Timberwolves, but the 76ers are playing some great ball right now regardless of the opponent.
Bet the 76ERS -7.5 (-105) to cover the spread at home, where they’re 17-13 straight up this season.
The total has gone Over in each of the 76ers’ last five games. They’ll be facing the league’s top defense in points allowed per game and the Cavs allow the fourth-worst field goal percentage (44.4) in the NBA, but with the total being set on the somewhat lower side, I like the OVER 216.5 (-115).
