DePaul at Georgetown odds, picks and prediction

The DePaul Blue Demons (12-14, 3-13 Big East) and Georgetown Hoyas (6-20, 0-15) meet Thursday for a tussle at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Tip-off will be at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the DePaul vs. Georgetown odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

DePaul has dropped four in a row and eight of its last 10. The Blue Demons shot just 33.1% from the field in their last two games and 38.8% over that larger 10-game set. One of its two wins over that span was against these Hoyas, an 82-74 home victory Feb. 9.

The Hoyas are a very young team and have struggled this season. They enter on a 16-game skid, last winning Dec. 15 against non-conference foe Howard. The Hoyas play at a fast pace, and that exacerbates their biggest weaknesses, which are shooting percentages at both ends of the floor.

DePaul at Georgetown odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

DePaul 76, Georgetown 75

Money line

PASS. This game is too close to call for a money line wager.

Against the spread

Host GEORGETOWN +2.5 (-110) is the lean here. The Hoyas have the ability to hit 3’s, and that’s a bit of a blind spot for DePaul.

The Blue Demons are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as favorites. Over the last six games of this head-to-head series, the home five has gone 5-1 ATS.

Over/Under

The Over is 5-1 in Hoyas last six home games against losing teams.

The fast-pace Hoyas dragged the first meeting past 150 points. Recent tempo figures have Georgetown piling up even more possessions.

TAKE THE OVER 144.5 (-112).
