The Boston Celtics (35-31) and Chicago Bulls (27-39) will square off Friday night with each team seeking a second straight win. Tip-off from United Center will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Celtics-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Following a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday, the Celtics bounced back with a massive 36-point win over the Orlando Magic Wednesday night. They easily covered the 12.5-point spread and topped 130 points for the second time in three games. SG Jaylen Brown remains out with an ankle injury, though PG Kemba Walker and SF Jayson Tatum are both healthy.

The Bulls also enjoyed a convincing victory their last time out by crushing the Charlotte Hornets 120-99 Thursday. That snapped a four-game losing skid, in which they were underdogs each time. C Nikola Vucevic returned to the lineup and dropped 29 points with 14 rebounds in only 31 minutes. Chicago had seven players score in double figures.

Celtics at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Celtics 118, Bulls 112

Money line (ML)

With the way the Celtics have been playing on offense, I like their chances coming into this game. They’ve scored at least 119 points in each of their last four games, averaging 128.5 points per game in that span.

The Bulls have Vucevic and SG Zach LaVine back, but if Thompson can step up in the paint for Boston and Tatum can take LaVine, this game favors the C’s. Bet the CELTICS (-195).

Against the spread (ATS)

Boston is favored for the fifth time in its last six games. The Celtics are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven games, but Chicago hasn’t any better at 1-4 ATS over its last five.

It’ll hurt if Williams can’t play for Boston with Vucevic on the other side, but head coach Brad Stevens and the Celtics should have a plan for the big man. Bet the CELTICS -4.5 (-110) to cover the spread and win by at least 5 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total went Over the projected line in each of the Celtics’ last six games, largely thanks to their recent uptick in scoring. The Bulls scored more than 100 points for the first time in five games Thursday, so they’ve been trending in the opposite direction.

I like the OVER 222.5 (-110) tonight in Chicago with Vucevic and LaVine both on the floor.
