The Chicago Bulls (26-35) are in the “Big Apple” Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. ET game vs. the New York Knicks (34-28) at Madison Square Garden.  Below, we analyze the Bulls-Knicks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago just split a two-game miniseries with the Miami Heat, winning the latest 110-102 Monday following a 106-101 loss Saturday.

The Bulls are 4-2 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) over their last six games with wins against teams ahead of them in the standings such as the Heat, Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics.

New York had its nine-game SU and 12-game ATS winning streaks snapped with a 118-110 loss to the Phoenix Suns Monday as 2.5-point home dogs.

The Knicks own the tiebreaker with the Atlanta Hawks for fourth in the East currently while the Bulls are on the outside looking into the playoff race as Chicago is 11th in the East, 1 game behind the Washington Wizards.

These teams split (SU and ATS) the first two meetings this season, both in Chicago.

Bulls at Knicks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Knicks 115, Bulls 104

Money line (ML)

PASS because New York should defeat Chicago, however, the Knicks (-225) is too expensive given the Bulls (+175) are fighting for their playoff lives and need this game like blood.

Against the spread (ATS)

Since Chicago’s leading scorer, LaVine, is sidelined with injury it’ll be a lot easier for New York’s defense to focus its attention on All-Star big Nikola Vučević, who has struggled against the Knicks this season.

Vučević faced New York three times already this season while he was playing for the Orlando Magic and Vučević is averaging just 19.0 points per game on 46.8% true shooting (.433/.167/1.00) and has only attempted two free throws.

This kind of goes without saying, but the Knicks are a far better team than when they visited the Bulls for a two-game set February 1 and 3.

The difference between the Knicks then and now is big Nerlens Noel turning into one of the best rim protectors in the Association and the addition of PG Derrick Rose.

Noel is third in blocks per game and second in defensive rating and Rose leads the Knicks in on-off net rating (minimum of five games played).

GIMME the KNICKS -5.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the OVER 208.5 (-115) for a half unit because the Knicks are quietly one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the league and have gone Over the total in eight of their previous 10 games.

It’s only a “lean” because both of their first two meetings went Under the total and, frankly, I don’t trust Chicago’s offense against New York’s defense without LaVine in the lineup.
