Celtics at Hornets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Celtics 113, Hornets 101

Money line (ML)

The Celtics (-350) will cost you nearly four times your potential return against the Hornets (+270), and that’s just too expensive on the road.

The last time these teams played, the C’s racked up a 116-86 win against the Hornets at TD Garden April 4.

Against the spread (ATS)

The CELTICS -7.5 (-110) are worth a roll of the dice because, as mentioned above, the first meeting was a 30-point rout in favor of Boston.

In addition, the Hornets +7.5 (-110) are 0-7 ATS across the past seven outings as an underdog of 6.5 or more points.

On the flip side, the C’s are 6-1 ATS in the past seven on the road. The Hornets are 1-5 ATS in the past six as an underdog.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 216.5 (-110) is the play, but go lightly. The Under is 10-3 in the past 13 for Boston as a favorite, while hitting in 11 of the last 15 overall.

For Charlotte, the Under is 8-1 in the past nine as an underdog, while going 4-1 in the past five as a home dog. And the Under is 20-7-1 across the past 28 at home for the Hornets.
