Vegas Golden Knights at San Jose Sharks: By the Numbers

  • Golden Knights RW Mark Stone leads the 2018-19 NHL Playoffs with six goals and shares the postseason lead for points with LW Max Pacioretty at 10. Sharks D Erik Karlsson leads all players with seven assists.
  • Vegas has doubled San Jose in both power-play and shorthanded goals through six games at 8-4 and 2-1, respectively.
  • Both teams have had 10 players score at least one goal, but San Jose has three with two or more compared to Vegas’ four.
  • Sharks C Tomas Hertl scored the Game 6 winner in double overtime after guaranteeing a Game 7 in San Jose following the team’s victory in Game 5.

Vegas Golden Knights at San Jose Sharks: Projected Goalie Starters

Marc-Andre Fleury vs. Martin Jones

Jones has had his best two games of the postseason with the Sharks facing elimination, stopping 88 of 91 shots on goal in two straight victories for a combined .967 save percentage. He was relieved twice by backup Aaron Dell through the first four games.

Fleury had his worst game of the series in Game 5 by allowing four goals on 28 shots. He bounced back in Game 6, but his save percentage in the series is well below last year’s .927 mark.

Vegas Golden Knights at San Jose Sharks: Key Injuries

Sharks LW Michael Haley skated Friday, but he’s not expected to return anytime soon. He’s been out since Game 3.

Vegas Golden Knights at San Jose Sharks: NHL Best Bet

Moneyline: Both teams are listed at -110 with the series up for grabs. We’ll side with the Sharks as Jones saved his best play of the season for now.

Against the spread: The Sharks are technically the favorites with a spread of -1.5 paying +240. Opt for the Golden Knights to keep it close at -300 on the other side.

Over/under: Four of six games have gone over Tuesday’s total of 6. With Jones at the peak of his game and Fleury being well-versed in big games, we’ll take the UNDER in Game 7 at -110.
