Brooklyn Nets at Philadelphia 76ers: By the Numbers

  • 76ers C Joel Embiid made a somewhat surprising appearance in Game 1 after being listed as questionable due to a knee issue. He played 24:15 in the loss and finished with 22 points, four assists, and a team-high 15 rebounds.
  • The Nets had six players score in double digits in Game 1, including PG D’Angelo Russell‘s team-high 26 points in just under 30 minutes of floor time.
  • Both teams came in below their regular-season scoring averages in the series opener.
  • Brooklyn won in Philadelphia for the second time this season after the two sides split the regular-season series with each picking up a win on the road and at home.

Brooklyn Nets at Philadelphia 76ers: Key Injuries

Embiid is being listed as questionable once again. C Jonah Bolden – who played just five minutes in Game 1 – is listed as probable with a knee injury. His workload will grow if Embiid is forced to sit this one out. SG James Ennis is doubtful to return to the lineup with a quad problem. He averaged 7.4 points per game over the regular season.

Nets big men Ed Davis and Jared Dudley are questionable for Game 2. Both were key contributors in Game 1, with Davis going for 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets at Philadelphia 76ers: Best Bet

Moneyline: The 76ers are still being spotted -350 odds while at home and with the status of their best player unknown. PF Tobias Harris was the game’s biggest disappointment as he finished with just four points on 2-for-7 from the field. Even if he’s able to step it up, the Nets looked fully capable of handling the Sixers with Embiid less than 100 percent. Pick the visitors at +275.

Against the spread: The safer play is to back Brooklyn at -110 to cover the +8 spread.

Over/under: Saturday’s total hit just 213 points. Monday’s number is set at 226 with -110 paying out on either side. Take the UNDER with room to spare from the series opener.
