March Madness - When is the Final Four? Early Betting Lines

And then there were four: The Final Four, that is.

What a weekend of college basketball! Three upsets. Two overtime games. Back-and-forth action right until the end. If you weren’t jumping out of your seat during the final seconds of the games, you’re not a real sports fan. It’s a great time to be alive.

The Duke Blue Devils’ loss destroyed many traditional brackets after they fell 68-67 to the Michigan State Spartans. Despite much of the tournament being full of chalk, the last two rounds reminded us what March Madness is all about – madness, where anything can and often does happen.

Only one No. 1 Seed Still Stands

Only one No. 1 seed – the University of Virginia – remains standing, as the Final Four is comprised of a No. 2 seed (Michigan State), a No. 3 seed (Texas Tech) and a No. 5 seed (Auburn). I bet you didn’t have those four teams in your Final Four bracket, did you?

Although I, and many others, could have argued Michigan State deserved a No. 1 seed placement.

According to CBS Sports, only 0.02 percent of the brackets in their tournament game predicted this Final Four outcome.

Final Four Early Betting Lines

According to FanDuel:

Virginia (-245) is the 5.5-point favorite. The over is set at 130.5 at -110.

Michigan State (-160) is the 3-point favorite. The over is set at 132.5 at -110.

When is the Final Four? Final Four Schedule

While the calendar says April, March Madness continues Saturday, April 6, with the Final Four match ups between the Texas Tech Red Raiders versus the Michigan State Spartans as well as the Virginia Cavaliers versus Auburn Tigers.

April 6 – 6:09 PM ET – Auburn vs. Virginia

April 6 – 8:49 PM ET – Texas Tech vs. Michigan State

Both games will be carried by CBS.

Who will win the National Championship?

Per SportsLine, who simulated the Final Four 10,000 times, Virginia has the highest odds of winning the National Championship at 38.4 percent.

They’re followed by Michigan State at 29.3 percent, Texas Tech at 18.7 percent and Auburn at 13.6 percent.

We’ll be releasing our full game breakdowns later this week.
