NFL Future Odds: Placing your bets on the NFC East

Vegas has always loved the Dallas Cowboys because Dallas fans love to bet on their team every year. But, when it comes to the reality of the two-team race expected in 2019, the Eagles are the ones expected to rebound and once again claw their way atop the NFC East and in the hunt to make a run at Super Bowl LIV (odds provided by PointsBet.com),

Philadelphia Eagles (+800)

The Eagles are without a lot of big names (QB Nick Foles, WR Golden Tate, DTs Tim Jernigan and Haloti Ngata and LB Jordan Hicks), but the Eagles are the deepest team in the division and the arrivals of WR Desean Jackson and DT Malik Jackson will help cushion the losses. If Carson Wentz stays healthy, the Eagles can make another title run.

Dallas Cowboys (+1000)

The Cowboys are the defending division champs, but have spent most of the offseason re-signing their own guys, making low-level signings and wooing Jason Witten out of retirement. Dallas is always going to get betting odds love, but they’re in defensive spending shell this offseason and not making a big splash in free agency.

New York Giants (+3000)

In the last five months, the G-Men have traded WR Odell Beckham, DT Damon Harrison and LB Olivier Vernon and lost S Landon Collins in free agency. It looks like an in-house implosion that has a lot of people shaking their heads. With Eli Manning nearing the end of the line, it looks like the future is over the horizon, not in 2019.

Washington Redskins (+4000)

After losing eight of their last nine games in 2018, Washington does what it always does in March – overspend. The team gave S Landon Collins a huge contract, took on most of QB Case Keenum’s deal and signed train-wreck OT Ereck Flowers, while losing WR Jamison Crowder, LBs Preston Smith and Zach Brown and S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Sound familiar? Losing is becoming a trend.
