Show. Me. The. Money!

I think that’s what New Jersey is going to change their official state motto to. It’s a little more with the times than “Liberty and Prosperity” anyway.

With just the Super Bowl on the calendar in February, there wasn’t a lot of NFL action to be had in New Jersey sports betting. That didn’t stop the state from reporting a handle of $320,368,087 during February.

That’s down a bit from the $385 million handle in January and revenue dropped to $12.7 million in February compared to January’s $18.7 million. In terms of online action, 80.6 percent of all betting volume came through online and mobile apps. That’s good for $258 million in February, which was down from $305 million in January.

Since June 2018, the handle of sports betting in New Jersey is $1,952,955,469, driving a revenue of $125,670,362.

Anticipate an uptick in March, with March Madness a very lucrative time of the year for the sports wagering world. There are also 14 total New Jersey online sportsbooks in the space.
